In this post i will discuss a most important thing in the success of all online businesses. There are many ways to earn online through your website. The most common ways to earn money through your website are:

What Really Is Meant By Targeted Traffic?
The targeted traffic simply means that your website is visited by the people who are interested in your topic or product. For example suppose your website is all about the ways to earn online money. Now if a person is really in the need to learn the ways to earn online money and visits your website, then that person is the targeted traffic.

What is the Advantage Of Targeted Traffic?
The advantage of targeted traffic is very obvious. If i want to buy an e-book about online earning methods and i visits a great website selling that book, then there are great chances that i will buy the e-book. But if am visiting the website selling the e-book of pet care, then you know that i will be just closing the website or hitting the back button. So in simple words, targeted traffic are the website visitors that will be buying your products or will be clicking on the Google ads in search of their products or information.

OK Got It !! But From Where Can I Get Targeted Traffic?
Very simple answer. The search engine traffic is the targeted traffic. People who want to buy any product or want some information, mostly search it on the search engines, especially on Google. People coming from search engines(now i will use Google word instead of search engines), are real buyers. They will be buying the products or clicking on the ads to buy the things.

Now How To Get Traffic From Google And Other Search Engines?
Now this is the main issue. This is called SEO or search engine optimization. It simply means that making your website in such a way that Google should consider it best for a certain keyword and should show your website on top positions for that keyword. For example if your website is about earn by writing, then you would like to get Google#1 position for this term so that people should visit your website for that term.

For this purpose there are 2 main types. First is the Onsite SEO and second is OffSite SEO.

What is OnSite SEO?
This is to make your website content and structure attractive for Google. Google is a machine or a software that checks every website against some rules and gives top rankings to the websites that are following those rules. In short i am telling only very basic things that need to be in your website content for a good Onsite SEO.

First thing is your page Title. Your page title should contain your keyword or phrase for which you want your website to rank best.

Second thing is to add good summary of your web page content in the META DESCRIPTION tag. This description should include your keyword again. It seems that Google is now considering the META DESCRIPTION for website ranking. But even if it is not, this is the description that is displayed on the Google when you website is displayed on search page. This text should be attractive for readers.

Third main thing is to use H1 tag in your start of BODY tag. Use H1 only once in a page and this should contain your main keyword that is focused. Then make subheadings using H2 and H3 tags and use the variations of your main keyword in these subheadings.

Then your content should be very Google friendly. Your keyword should be at least once in every para. Don’t simply use the main keyword again and again. You can use the long-tails and variations of your main keyword in the body. Just write your text readable and interesting for the human readers and most of the time it becomes attractive for Google too.

If you are using the Images on your pages, please use the ALT tag and put your keyword in it. For example in the ALT tag of your logo image you can write “Earn By Writing Logo Image” etc.

Try to write long articles on your pages. This will give u benefit in a way that your web page will be ranking well for many longtail keywords without any effort.

Offsite SEO

The offsite SEO is the main thing in SEO. I think for better ranking in search engines, Onsite SEO contributes only 10% while OffSite SEO contributes 90%. But what is offsite SEO. Here, to save time, i will only talk about one factor. If you can focus on that factor alone, you have done your offsite SEO(90% of SEO). Creating proper back links is the 90% of offsite SEO.

Offsite SEO is all about creating backlinks for your website or webpage with your target keyword as anchor text. For example see this link:

Here, the word “How To Start Earn Online Without Investment” is the anchor text and is also my target keyword.

The second part is the link of the web page.

Now if i need to get top ranking for this keyword “How To Start Earn Online Without Investment”, i need lots of back links from other websites for this web page. This is usually a number game.

Back link should have following properties for easy and fast ranking with lesser number of backlinks required.

• Back links should be DoFollow
• Back links are good if are coming from the websites having related topics
• Back links from High PR sites are better
• Back links from within the content are better than blogroll, footer or site wide links.

If you can get enough back links for your web page for a specific keyword, your web page will be getting good Google search ranking provided your OnSite SEO is also OK.
